What IMPACT can we

have on our world?

IMAGINE a world where poverty or disease has been eradicated, where our grandchildren have an abundance of food, and live in a secure, natural environment.

WE CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN!
The key lies in the IMPACT research can have to unearth many of the solutions we need. With the support of CSIRO, IMPACT7 gathers together passionate people from across Australia to spotlight research-led innovations that are solving the big challenges our planet faces.

WHERE DO WE

NEED IMPACT?

WHERE DO WE

NEED IMPACT?

1. The future of work

Australia will be the home of the best industries in the world. Consistently improving productivity, sustainability, and reshaping the experience of work will bring us closer to the industries of the future. Share how robotics, machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions are revolutionising the way we work.

2. Security in our world

Australia and our neighbours could be be a safe haven from threats such as pandemics, cultural erosion, or terrorism. How can we contribute to global stability?

3. Protecting our environment

In an increasingly volatile climate, what can we do to preserve habitats, mitigate natural disasters, or cool the planet? Do you have innovative ways to restore the Great Barrier Reef, deal with plastic waste and reduce landfill, or clean the oceans?

4. Powering our future

We don’t need to beggar our planet to power our lives. What are the amazing sustainable energy alternatives? How do we reduce consumption?

5. Food security and quality

Will our grandchildren’s kids still have bananas to eat for breakfast? Imagine if pests were a thing of the past, crops could flourish in the Nullarbor, or produce never went bad.

6. Health and wellbeing

Whether through new potions, ways to play, or prevention - how can we beat the thieves that rob us of full lives?

7. Wildcard!

Does outer space, or exploring microscopic organisms hold the answers to our wicked problems?
